Hi Avatari! Great to have you here!

Great to be here!

Would you rather spend the holidays in the mountains or at the beach?

Tough one. I love them both. One of my favorite places in the world is Big Sur, California. Sweeping hills of forest right by the California Coast. Can I choose the mountains overlooking the beach?

What is the best gift you have ever given?

To help me answer this one, I'd probably have to reflect on the best gifts I've ever received. A wise man told me once - the most valuable thing you have to give is your time. I believe that. I'd say the best gifts I've received have to do with people showing up for me when I was in need. I've been able to show up for some of my friends when they really needed me. And I'd say those moments were some of the best of my life - for one because I was really able to make a difference for them; and secondly, because it felt amazing to be a part of that. I think it's especially cool when it's inconvenient. Like when it's the last thing you actually want to do.

What is the best gift you have ever received?

Oops. I kind of answered this in the last question. But I'll go into a little more detail. There was a part of my life where things got pretty dark for me. I was lost and didn't know how I was going to get through. Part of it was being young and lost - I needed some guidance. Which I received. One friend of mine, in particular, showed up relentlessly for me over the course of a couple of years and helped me get my life back on track. That's one of those gifts that you can never really repay.

When do you feel you are at your personal best?

I feel like I'm at my best when I'm in rhythm. In a routine in my life. Meditating, eating right, exercising, going to bed at a decent hour, getting up early, staying connected with my friends and family. When I'm doing these things, everything else seems to take care of itself. When I go too far outside my routine, I tend to get a little grumpy, a little sluggish, and things start to get a little bit skewed. Know what I mean?

What do you bring with you everywhere you go?

I try to bring a connection to something greater than myself. A little mindset that it's not all about me, and that if I can focus on helping others out - I'm usually a happier guy.

Do you have a favorite holiday treat?

I'm gonna go with eggnog. It's funny because I only like it once a year - in December. And when December's over, I don't need it again until next year. Eggnog with a little nutmeg.
