How do you balance artist life and normal life?
I am the same person in both aspects of my life. There is no need to balance anything. I speak my truth at all times and go from there. I am who I am. There are no false pretenses.
What are the essential qualities that make up a good musician?
I think that the essential qualities that make up a good musician are being humble, being able to sing from your soul, staying true to your artistry, and being compassionate.
What do you see as the most important habits of successful people?
I believe that when you create anything in love, meaning you want the best outcome for everyone involved, you are already successful.
Is there an overall theme you are trying to capture when writing songs?
I want the audience/listener to get an "aha" moment. I want them to be able to relate to my music. Currently, I am focused on writing about social issues. We can all relate to what is happening in the world, one way or the other.
What does it mean to you, to be authentic?
To be authentic is to deliver the best of who you are and not give in to those who would want you to be someone else.
Who lifts you up when you feel like you cannot?
I am not religious, but I am spiritual. God always lifts me up. God is the reason that I am still here.
