Single Review: Emily Daccarett Releases “Fading Memories” Which Will Be Featured on New Album Yours

By: Colin Naughton

Pop singer/songwriter Emily Daccarett is set to release new album, Yours Always, on March 18th, 2021. This will be the first full length album release of Daccarett’s career. Her first single, “Viens a moi,” was released in 2016 followed by “Doll Face” which was released in 2017, EP Cannibal, which was released in 2019 and “Love Chain” which was released on February 14th, 2020. Daccarett graduated from the Musicians Institute in Los Angeles.

“Fading Memories” will be the third track on the album and the leading single that will drive the album. Yours Always is a concept album covering the themes of love, loss, rejection, childhood innocence and time. These themes are interwoven throughout the songs of the album. “Fading Memories” has a very unique sound to it, it reminds me of gothic romanticism. It’s dark yet gives feelings of love and lust. I like the emotionally drawn out vocals, they fit perfectly with the theme of the track and really deliver the overall vibe. The guitar playing is great, especially the solo that is heard in the background towards the end of the song, it’s very bluesy and gives devilish tones to the music. “Fading Memories” is ominous, mysterious and dark all while telling a story of love, lust, seduction and loss.

You will be able to stream “Fading Memories” on the new album, Yours Always, on your preferred streaming service starting March 18th, 2021. You can pre-save “Fading Memories” and follow Emily Daccarett on Instagram and Facebook.
